Campers will lean into learning while enjoying themselves participating in hands-on activities. They will experiment, explore, design and create. Some themes include: designing 3D bubble wands and making giant bubbles; creating a variety of bird feeders, fun & safe experiments; making ice cream in a bag; and STEM activities that promote working as a team. Get ready to get messy at someone else’s house!
Your Little Artists will be making art based on famous artists (e.g., Claude Monet, Yayoi Kusama, Henry Matisse, Michelangelo, Georgia O’Keeffe, Van Gogh, Andy Warhol). Campers will find inspiration and use their own creativity to make their very own masterpieces. We will be making canvas paintings, drawings, sculptures, self-portraits and collages.
Come and let your creativity run wild. We will be creating a wooden fairy houses/dinosaur lands and accessories. The campers will spend their days creating, imagining and designing. Although we will use some materials that are store bought, we will talk about the benefits of recycling and incorporate repurposed items into our world as well as many items from nature.
Encourage kids to explore, work together, and be creative while creating a theatrical production. This week will focus on music, acting, visual arts, choreography, and games, facilitated by Concord Academy’s one and only, Liliana Carman. The campers will spend their days learning skills of acting, teamwork and set/costume design.
Campers will explore nature through engaging activities. We will nurture their sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them! They should expect to go on short “hikes” / treasure hunts, plant flowers gardens of their very own, make a variety of bird feeders, and play and learn all about taking care of the goats at Mistletoe Farm (a few doors down). Experiential learning is our focus through play, exploration, games, and crafts!
Your children will grow, learn and explore in a comfortable atmosphere, while having fun and meeting new friends. Each day your child will do a variety of summer camp activities based on the theme of a particular children’s picture book: Ada Twist, Scientist, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Not a Box, Dear Zoo, If You Give a Moose a Muffin.
